Retail Opportunities
The Rolla region currently serves as the retail center for south-central Missouri. This statement is support by the fact that the City of Rolla currently generates about 40 percent more retail sales than the population of Rolla iteself could afford. A 2007 study of retail opportunities showed that the Rolla region could actually generate at additional $250 million in retail sales and should consider adding more than 1 million square feet in retail shopping area.
